About Ananda College Scout Group

The Ananda College Scout Group, founded in 1914, is one of the oldest scout troops in Sri Lanka. It is deeply rooted in the traditions of Ananda College — a premier Buddhist school established in 1886 — and has played a pivotal role in nurturing generations of young leaders with unwavering discipline, patriotism, and a spirit of service.

Guided by the core values of the World Scout Movement and infused with the teachings of Buddhism, the troop has developed into a vibrant and impactful community that encourages leadership, personal growth, and civic duty. From adventurous camps to community service, our scouts are continuously engaged in meaningful activities that foster unity and responsibility.
